If you’re getting the sense that things are starting to be too much for you to handle, it’s okay to seek out help. Start planning now, before you feel overwhelmed or in crisis. Planning ahead and getting support early will make things easier in the long run. Balancing your own needs with the increasing needs of the person in your care can be tough. You deserve a break! It’s time to step back for a moment and honestly evaluate what you can manage on your own, and determine the things you need help with. Are there any tasks on your list that someone else can take care of? Think about the tasks that are taking too much of your time, and the ones that you find emotionally draining. We’ll get through this together!
